Patrick joined Surrender Dorothy in 2001 and has been keeping the beat ever since. He is a typical drummer in that he believes he has more to offer than just his drumming talents. However, he is confused about the “keys” that the other musicians continually talk about, and wonders when he will receive a set of his own. Patrick's idol is Animal, the drummer from the Muppet Show. He went through a phase where he tried to emulate Animal by growing a beard, dyeing his hair red and not bathing. However, his girlfriend vehemently protested his decision and threatened to break up with him. Because of her threat, he abandoned his pursuit since he did not have any place else to live. This news came much to the chagrin of the other band members as they had been paying him with Milk Bones up until that point.
