Surrender Dorothy is a band that has been performing since 1994. Four of the members hail from Grant County, Indiana and include Mark Most (lead vocals), Andy Baumgartner (lead guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals), Tom Kelly (drums) and Steve Smith (keyboards). Doug Boucher (bass and lead guitar), is also from Grant County, but now lives in Cincinnati.

Over the years, the band has performed for local clubs, organizations and private parties. Most notably they have become a yearly attraction at the James Dean Festival in Fairmount, Indiana, opening for such bands as Buddy Holly's Crickets, Jack Scott, The Buck Ram Platters, Danny and the Jrs. featuring Joe Terry, The Diamonds featuring Dave Sommerville, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, The Original Comets, The Charlie Thomas Drifters, Mark Lindsay (original lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders), Mitch Ryder and Lou Christie.

Surrender Dorothy plays a mixture of oldies, classic rock, old time honky-tonk and originals. Their set list features material from such diverse acts as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Bad Company, Hank Williams Sr., The Kinks, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the Comets, Eric Clapton, Johnny Rivers, ELO, Midnight Oil, Billy Joel, Paul Revere and the Raiders, George Jones, The Monkees, Conway Twitty, Del Shannon, Bruce Springsteen and many more.

The name Surrender Dorothy comes from the Wizard of Oz, the name chosen for the band's love of the movie. The band uses the Oz theme on stage with Oz stand-up characters and a banner proclaiming "Surrender Dorothy, You're Not in Kansas Anymore".
